How To Solve The HP Printer Not Printing Issue On Mac Device?

Method 1. Remove And Re-add Your Printer

  1. First, you need to click on the spotlight option on your mac device. 
  2. After that, search for the Printers & scanner options. 
  3. Now, you need to select the name of the printer you are using. 
  4. After that, select the Remove or Remove Printer button. 
  5. Next, you need to choose the Delete printer or Remove printer option. 
  6. Now, click on the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax or the Add button, then choose your printer device on the list. 
  7. Lastly, click on the Add option. 

Method 2. Use the Diagnose & Fix 

  1. In the beginning, you need to open the HP Smart App and then choose the Diagnose & fix option. (If HP Smart App is not on your device, you need first to download it on your device.)
  2. After that, you need to click on Start. 
  3. If it finds any issue, then you have to follow the instructions you need on the screen. 
  4. Now, inspect if the printer not printing problem has been resolved or not. 

Method 3. Reset The Printer System On Your Mac

  1. First, click on the Spotlight icon, and look for Printers & Scanners option. 
  2. While pressing the control in the printer's list, give a click or a right click. 
  3. Next, you need to select the option Reset printing system to complete the reset process. 
  4. After that, restart your HP printer. 
  5. And then, select the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax or the Add button and click on your printer option. 
  6. Lastly, click on the Add option. 

Method 4. Make a Manual IP Connection.

  1. For the first step, you are required to print a Network Configuration or Wireless Network Test Result report. 
  2. Now, on the configuration page, try to locate the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Wireless Status, URL, and Default Gateway. After that, inspect the follow-up criteria. 
    • Check the Connected status is shown under the 802.11 Wireless. 
    • Now, under 802.11 Wireless, look for the default gateway, subnet mask, and IP address. 
    • And then, go to the General Information field and locate the URL(s) for Embedded Web Server. Your printer device can have more than one URL. 
  3. Now, on your Mac device, you need to open any browser and type any of the URLs in the search section. Then click on Enter to open the EWS (Embedded Web Server). 
  4. When the EWS is open, select the Network or Networking tab. Then go to the wireless menu. Later choose the IPv4 Configuration.
  5. Choose Manual IP and then fill in the printer info. 
    • If you want to auto-fill all the fields, select Suggest a Manual IP Address. Next, ensure that the Manual IP Address, Manual Subnet Mask, and Manual Default Gateway are the same as on the configuration page. 
    • In case you cannot find the Suggest a Manual IP Address. Then click on you can type the info to their specific field from the configuration page. 
  6. To save the manual IP address setting, click on the Apply option.
  7. Click on the Spotlight icon in the main menu bar. Then search for the Printers and Scanners option once again. 
  8. Then select the Add Printer, Scanner, Fax or Add button. 
  9. Now, choose the IP icon from the Add Printer window. 
  10. In the address field, type the manual IP address. Then from the protocol drop-down, choose AirPrint.
  11.  Wait for a while until the printer is connected to your Mac device. 
  12. In the name field, enter the printer's name so you can recognize it easily. 
  13. Lastly, click on the Add option to complete the setup process.
